In 2000, Kristian Butorac founded the company Ice-LanD - Localization, Design and Music. At the time of its founding, and in the months that followed, the company provided services in three subdivisions:
In July 2001, the company was entered in the German register of companies and has since been trading under the name Ice-LanD e.K.
The third subdivision was quickly expanded to include music exploitation activities, and the publishing company Ice-LanD Music was set up as an independent division in September of the same year. This company focuses on the production and publication of top-class contemporary scores.
Since 2001, Edition Butorac publications have included scores from the publishing company Ice-LanD Music that excel for their musical professionalism and print quality.
At the beginning of 2005, the localization and Web design subdivisions were shut down.
Since then, Ice-LanD Music has concentrated more and more on the production of scores and on exploitation activities. Responsibility for publisher-direct sales in Germany, Austria and Switzerland was transferred to ancora Verlagsservice Halbig in August 2005. In the USA, Canada, Central America and South America, publications issued by Edition Butorac have been marketed and supplied by C.F. Peters Corporation, New York, since July 2006. In Australia and New Zealand our publications have been marketed and supplied by Music Knowledge Pty Ltd, Melbourne, since January 2008.
